2nd APA Transition Seminar

 

Following on from the success of its first PCC Transition seminar in December 2011, the APA is pleased to announce:

An APA SEMINAR

To be held at RYTON, nr Coventry

Monday 19 and Tuesday 20 March 2012

 

To include practically oriented workshops led by police authority practitioners, partners and subject matter experts that focus on priority issues affecting police authority transition planning covering critical topics, including:

 

Commissioning

Transition scrutiny

Staff & asset transfers

Financial matters

Chief officer complaints

Candidate briefing

Good governance

Communications

Police and Crime Panels

Capability of the OPCC

 

Also, as requested at APA Council, a session on specific financial matters to include consideration of the recent HMIC ‘Valuing the Public’ Inspections and managing the business as usual through the spending review period.
