NPIA Event: Commercial Sector Briefing

Dear colleagues,

Police Authority Briefing Session - Bramshill, 9 November 2011

Following my letter of 26 October, I wanted to remind you about an event we are running next week. It is for police authorities to brief members and officers about recent activity involving policing and the commercial sector.

It was acknowledged at the recent High Level Working Group that not enough has been done to give police authorities up-to-date information about developing partnerships with the commercial sector. This event will help fill that gap.

The event is on Wednesday 9 November, at NPIA Bramshill and it will run from 10.00am to 3.20pm (registration at 9.30am). The agenda is finalised and will cover:

Commercial decisions: the national perspective - Home Office

Acting as an intelligent client – panel session with police authorities

Collaboration, integrity and lessons so far from Valuing the Police report – HMIC

Practical support for authorities – NPIA

What makes an intelligent client?: the supplier perspective - Capita

You can secure your places by simply completing the attached booking form. I do hope you are able to attend what promises to be a highly valuable event.

Yours sincerely,

Nick Gargan
